In this role you lead the commercial business development of Fastned. You help define the commercial strategy and execute on it. You create and grow partnerships based on your entrepreneurial drive and technical affinity.
As our Commercial Business Developer you are our first point of contact with parties such as navigation companies (Google, TomTom, Here, etc.), payment providers (charging cards/apps, Google/Apple pay, bank/credit cards, etc.), car manufacturers (Tesla, VW, Polestar, etc.), and others (such as restaurant chains).
Additionally, you will deep-dive into creating brand new business opportunities. This includes helping to define strategy, building up the business case from a financial, technical, and business perspective; and identifying partners to make this a reality. You report directly to the CCO.
In order to be successful in this role you bring along an ambitious & commercial drive, an entrepreneurial hands-on mentality, combined with a strategic and innovative mindset. You think like a founder and surprise us with canny solutions. Your responsibilities
What we're looking for
- In the lead of the commercial strategy - you define how we should deal with various commercial developments and execute on it;
- First point of contact for a wide range of third parties - you judge incoming requests and focus on where there is value;
- Develop, maintain and optimize relationships with third parties such as navigation companies, payment providers, car manufacturers, and others;
- Set up and negotiate contracts (with support from our legal team);
- Improve ways of working (technical & procedural);
- Define, design and implement new commercial offerings;
- Develop new business models that add value to our customers. Work out the business case and define what needs to be done to make it happen.
- Up to 10 years of experience in commercial & strategic roles;
- Previous experience with EV charging is a plus;
- Proven track record of defining strategies and putting them into action;
- You have a strategic & commercial mindset combined with technical affinity;
- You have strong communication skills;
- You speak fluent Dutch and English - German and/or French is a bonus;
- You are highly motivated by accelerating the energy transition.
